There underlies a myth about weight reduction that ,just popping few supplements and following a strict diet plan can promote weight loss. However the secret to weight loss is control of mind and in turn control of senses which ultimately lead to a stress free mind elevating the wellness of a person by addressing any issue, such as in this case promote weight loss.

Stress management

With the challenging job roles and hectic pressure to meet work deadlines, today’s generation is under tremendous stress. People live such a stressful life that they seldom follow a healthy lifestyle. Not only corporates but nowadays children face study pressure at school, a housewife at home with so many household chores to do and so on. To get rid of this increased amount of stress people tend to eat more and munch on high calorie diets including junk like crisps and biscuits. Thus despite the urge to follow a balanced and nutritional diet, under stress many tend to lose track and follow an unhealthy eating pattern. This increase calories and lead to increase in body weight. However with the practice of yoga, the mind is bought under control. When the mind is under control, you express a sense of satisfaction that allows you to manage stress. Once you learn to manage stress you no longer crave to overeat. Eventually you tend to control your calorie intake and have a balanced diet.

Enhances Liver function

Liver acts as the detoxifier of the body that disposes low density lipo proteins or bad fat out of the body. Moreover liver acts as a store house of energy providing strength to the muscles. However accumulation of fat within the liver cells is often linked to obesity. Through practice of certain yoga postures like the wheel pose (Chakraasana) and many more, the liver can function well at its optimum level. Thus through regular practice of yoga the function of liver as a cleanser is improvised reducing the risk of problems such as overweight.

Improves body strength through various yoga poses

Various Yoga postures help to strength the muscles. Since fats act as fuel for the muscles to work, the more energy spent in building muscles, more the consumption of fat. Thus muscle strengthening exercises or postures practiced in yoga encourage the body to consume fat as fuel on a regular basis and helps to reduce the bad fat from the body, eventually maintaining a healthy body.

The benefits of yoga to promote weight loss as listed above are just basic few. There are many more advantages of practicing yoga on a regular basis that will encourage the body to shed those extra Kilos. To summarize each posture practiced in yoga have benefits and a special effect on each organ. This helps each organ to perform their vital function and cleanse the body, by getting rid of the toxins. A combination of yoga combined with your routine workout plan and a balanced healthy diet can help to reduce weight and prevent the risk of health diseases that arise due to obesity.  As we discussed that each pose in yoga have a special benefit attached to it, the next post will describe this in detail. • Yoga can totally help you lose weight if that’s your goal 😊

Yoga burns calories when done the right way, that’s for sure!

If you are serious about losing weight and getting fit, you might want to implement a 60-minute power yoga and/or vinyasa flow practice at least five to six days per week.

This yoga weight loss program was easy to follow and worked flawlessly for me.

Each class is easy to follow, but is varied and enjoyable. Dynamic Sequencing means you’ll always be challenged regardless of your current level.

If you want to follow my example, think about coupling your practice with a whole foods diet for optimal results.

      Good luck! 🙏
