Get your Carbs, Proteins and Fats right

Carbs are a necessary part of this diet but what kind of carb is the catch. You need to eat a good amount of complex carbs that come from vegetables, beans, lentils, nuts, and seeds. This diet also suggests that you eat at least 50-60 grams of high quality proteins everyday. You can get this from a mixed grain-legume (bean) combination. Last but not the least, the fat content. Ideally, we consume up to 40% of our calories from fat. But studies have shown that half that amount is far healthier, tastier, reduces chronic disease risks and is just as satisfying. Of course, it goes without saying that you need to pour in loads of water and have adequate amounts of fibre to create a healthy balance.

  1. Regardless of the diet you choose, it is important to remember that your body must receive all the necessary vitamins from your food. Unfortunately, this does not always happen, but you always have the opportunity to supplement your diet with herbal supplements. Deterioration of the immune system usually occurs in winter and spring, but the body needs support all year round.
