Rocky

The movie is around Sylvester Stallone that goes by a character named Rocky Balboa and his journey from being a small time boxer to facing a reigning champion. The fights in the ring are just too good to resist. His training, the kind of hard work he puts in are beyond words to describe. With a zing of romance, we are sure you will be overwhelmed by the kind of motivation you might derive from the awesomeness! And like Rocky says, “It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”

It ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.

Batman (Trilogy)

A favorite for most, the first movie start off with Bruce played by Christian Bale who sets out for revenge and fails miserably. Beaten and with nothing much to live for Bruce gives in. But the journey after that, the path he takes to get over all the odds to fight back is undisputedly wow! Have you ever noticed how the series, all the 3 movies, are so much about fitness? The first tackles fear, the second- chaos and the third- pain. Well, that’s all you got to do. Get over the fear of ‘what ifs’ to start your workout. Kill life’s chaos with your hardcore workouts and then get over the pain to get better than what you already are. And like Bruce’s father told him as a child, “Why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up!”

Why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up!

Bend It Like Beckham

This had to be on the list, guys! Given the fact how the lead, Jess, fights through all the odds just to live her dream. A die hard fan of Beckham, all Jess wants to do is to play football. She had to, well pretty much, convince the entire world that she could do it. You just have to convince your mind! What does Jess have to say about it? “Anyone can cook aloo gobi, but who can bend a ball like Beckham?”

Anyone can cook aloo gobi, but who can bend a ball like Beckham?

Million Dollar Baby

Okay ladies, and gentlemen too. If this movie didn’t inspire you at first, then you need to watch it again! The way Maggie trains, is insane and the quote, “Train Insane Or Remain The Same” applies so well here. Belonging to a family that was never there for her, Maggie found immense pleasure in training hardcore. The training journey, Maggie doesn’t just learn a lot of lessons the hard way but comes out stronger every time.

Frankie (Coach): How many eyes do you need to finish this fight?

Maggie: One’s enough.

How many eyes do you need to win this fight? One's enough!

One quote to inspire you more!

I hated every minute of training, but I said, don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.

“I hated every minute of training, but I said, don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.”

Jake, the lead of this movie, joins a new school that’s not so welcoming to him. He begins to be known as somebody with a terrible temper and ends up humiliated at a fight. Seeing his plight, Jake’s classmate suggests him to visit a Martial Arts trainer, Jean Roqua. Jean takes Jake as a pupil on a condition. You need to watch the movie to know how Jake does it all. And the way he says, “Never give in. Never give up. Never back down!” will surely boost your motivation to pull that bar right away!

Karate Kid:

The movie has 2 versions, one the old series with the much spoken about Mr. Miyagi and the other one with Jackie Chan. Both of them speak, no rather scream, about self discipline and how important training is. Fitness is what follows but this brownie cannot be sidelined. They emphasize on how simple things in life put in the right direction are:

This quote is not really from the movie but hey, when speaking of karate and martial arts how could we not speak of the legend – Bruce Lee!

“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Mary Kom:

Do we really need an introduction for this movie? Priyanka Chopra’s incredible on screen performance and her off screen hard work are both extremely commendable. And given the fact that this movie is based on the Indian boxer, Mary Kom who won a Gold in the olympics, herself with backbreaking work just makes it a lot more closer to our heart. Because “Fighter kabhi haar nahi manta”
